Personal Training & Exercise Therapy

New! Functional muscular and motor pattern imbalance assessment and corrective exercise prescription.

Discover your postural and motor learning weaknesses and breakdowns, and learn to train your nervous system to recruit the proper muscles for your movement profile, be it for sport or general fitness to effectively reduce overall pain. Training you to move from functional, post injury rehab to optimal. These exercises can be incorporated into any training program or prescribed independently. Simply learn how to move better.

Using my extensive knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics and training methodology in conjunction with CSEP (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology) guidelines and BCAK (British Columbia Association of Kinesiologist); I create programs and support clients in achieving their fitness goals; whether it be weight loss, building functional strength or training for a specific event. In building you a program I take into account your goals, injuries, muscular imbalances, preferred activities, and past exercise experience to create a comprehensive training program designed specifically for you to get the results you are looking for.

It is important when training to make sure all components of wellness and fitness are addressed; my personalized programs include balance, strength, flexibility, cardiovascular and muscular endurance exercises. I teach you to understand your body and how exercise affects it. Together we establish healthy motor learning patterns to ensure you move properly to avoid further imbalances. However personal training is about more than training the body; it is about uncovering the connection between your mind, body, and spirit allowing you to maximize your potential.

I believe people need to be empowered and supported. This is why I offer personal training by the hour and programs which clients can work on, on their own. Packages available for one to four days a week for one, two, three and six months. As a certified kinesiologist my services are covered by some extended health plans.

I am now including TRX Suspension Training: "A new category of exercise for athletes of all abilities, that leverages one’s own bodyweight and gravity to develop strength, balance, flexibility and joint stability simultaneously." The more variety we incorporate into a training program the more well rounded our fitness will be. This is a mobile training system, so we can train anywhere; gym, your home, or even outside. Private and Semi-private classes available.
